Hi !

I'm new to LVDS and I'm looking for a LVDS to LVTTL converter.

I found these references : DS90LV012A and SN65LVELT23, but I don't really know the differences between these two.

Does the SN65LVELT23 need the 100 Ohm resistor ? As the DS90LV012A needs it

This point and the package aside, is the difference just with the fact that the DS90LV012A can manage one conversion and the SN65LVELT23 can make 2 ?

Hi Axel,

You may find this document useful on learning LVDS however both devices will need external 100 ohm termination. SN65LVELT23 does have two channels. I recommend using DS90LV012A (single) or DS90LV028A (dual).

Thank you very much ! I'll take a look to this doc.

I was indeed going to take the DS90LV012A , but if the SN65LVELT23 didn't need the 100Ohm resistor, I would have preferred this one (for practical purpose of having just the translator component) and the DS90LT012A seems to not be in stock soon.
