SN65HVD82: R pin1 abnormally drop down 1us during transceiver mode turn Receiver to driver

Part Number: SN65HVD82
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISO7721

Dear experts,

My customer using RS485 SN65HVD82 to transfer data. When the transceiver working from receiver to driver, the R pin drop abnormally for 1us and this causes the MCU mistake handling this signal.

Some issue waveforms are shown in below chart.. Would you please suggest what may cause this unexpected drop down? Thanks!

  • Zoe,

What is happening on the A, B, and D pins when the glitch occurs? And does it happen every single time? I'm also curious if something on the ISO7721 is causing this to happen, does this occur when R is not connected to VinA?

    Regards,

    Eric Hackett
