Hi team,

Customer has several questions about X1/CLKI-pin of the device, because more than 1.8V can be applied to the pin in their system.

1. What is the absolute maximum ratings of the pin? And what is the recommend input voltage of the pin?

2. If more than 1.8V is applied to the pin, does this device integrate protection functions like diodes to protect the pin from the over voltage?

3. If they apply the votage ranging from 1.8V~3.3V as clock singnal, what kinds of failures can happen?

Hi,

1. VIH MIN=0.7 VDDS; VIL MAX=0.3 VDDS; Where VDDS is the 1.8V power supply. I recommend using 1.8V crystal to drive the X0 and X1 pins.

2. This device does not have internal protection for X1 pin for over voltage condition.

3. if clock signal above 0.7*V_DSS is applied then device may not start-up correctly.

abs max for this pin would be Vcc.
