TUSB217A: NO DC boost effect on J/K USB2.0 compliance tests

I tried to tune the dc boost to solve a problem I found on the D- line in the K test (cause it is underthreshold : 358 mV) but with no success. I saw that no effect of the dc boost can be seen on the j test either. On the eye diagram test, the dc boost has got a clearly visible effect instead, in improving the eye height.

    Hi Gianluca,

    If you are referring to the J/K test mentioned in section 4.3 of this compliance document, that is because these are not being driven at high speed for these test. Redrivers are only active when high speed signals are being sent, and remain inactive for low or full speed signals. This would explain why you are seeing improvements in your eyes but not your J/K tests, as eye diagram testing is done at high speed while the other tests are not.
