DS90UH928Q-Q1: HDCP error with ds90uh927q

Part Number: DS90UH928Q-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90UH927Q-Q1,

Hi Expert,

My customer have an issue about HDCP blue display during short period (around 0.2sec)

It seems to be retry automaticaly betwee SER and DES devices.

Also, It was occered with  DS90UH928Q-Q1 and DS90UH927Q-Q1.

They can control deserializer side only, due to serializer side is black box. (They cannot control serializer side. )

They can use I2C back channel for monitoring some registers.  The MCU in serializer side  is master and the MCU in deserializer side  is slave.

They read HDCP status register, it have always been OxC4(HDCP Status) : 0x01.

It seems to show HDCP Authenticated.

Could you please give me your advice about how to analize behavier and solving this issue?

Thanks

Muk

  • Hi Mukuno-San,

Thank you for the question. Blue screen could be generated by our device in case of authentication failure only. But, you told the HDCP status 0xc4 is 0x01, it indicates the HDCP authentication has completed successfully. Some customer systems they are also generating blue screen in their SoC. So please make sure if this is our blue screen or not. Please refer to this E2E Thread regarding your issue.

    Regards,

    Josh
