TUSB2046I: Unable to get an output from USB Hub

Hi,

I have trouble getting an output from the USB Hub to the usb-to-serial IC chip FT232RL.

The host computer is able to detect the USB Hub and the FT232RL chip separately, however there lacks an output from the Hub.

I have attached the USB Hub schematic.

Hi,

I don't see an issue with the schematic itself. Since hub is not controlling the VBUS, how are you providing the VBUS to the FT232RL?

Hi David,

This is the schematic we are using for the FT232RL.
Couldn't figure the problem, could it be related to missing drivers on the host computer side or something else?

Please get help from FTDI on the FT232 schematic review as I am not familiar with this part.

For driver, reference to the FT232 datasheet, https://ftdichip.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/DS_FT232R.pdf. The drivers listed above are all available to download for free from FTDI website (www.ftdichip.com). Various 3rd party drivers are also available for other operating systems - see FTDI website (www.ftdichip.com) for details. For driver installation, please refer to http://www.ftdichip.com/Documents/InstallGuides.htm

The hub output is mapped as 1D+/-, 2D+/-. 3D+/-, and 4D+/-, but the FT232 input is mapped as 5D+/-, how does it connect to the hub? Who is proving the +5V_HUB2?

Can you take a scope and verify +5V_HUB2 goes to 5V and then 5D+ of the FT232 goes to 3.3V?
