Hi Aiwen,

Can you provide a full register dump at 70C, low temp prior to link up-down (around 5C), and after link up-down?

Information about manual CTLE configuration can be found in the datasheet. Section 8.5.8 covers overriding the CTLE boost setting and section 8.5.22 covers overriding the CTLE settings used for CTLE adaptation.

Hi Aiwen,

I think the link up-down issue might be caused by exceeding the retimer temperature locking range. The TLR for DS110DF410 is 90C. Although your test from 70C to -20C seems like it fits within this range, I'm assuming this is system ambient temperature and not actual device temperature. Are you able to measure the temp very near the retimer at the PCB level to verify whether the device remains within TLR?

Humidity can also penetrate into the capacitor medium, reducing the insulation resistance of the capacitor medium. Could it be that this is the cause of UP-DOWN? The specification does not clearly indicate the specific information of the capacitor, are there any selection requirements for these four capacitors?Is there a more detailed introduction to capacitor selection or parameters about this circuit？

Please help to see if there is any problem with the circuit schematic.

The RXD and TXD channel pins should be AC coupled. Make sure there are 220nF caps placed somewhere along these lines.
If you intend to use the INT pin, make sure to include a 2k - 5k PU resistor somewhere on this line.
Make sure SDA and SCL lines have 2k - 5k PU resistors somewhere on these lines.

It's definitely possible this could cause the link up-down issue. I suggest using conformal coating to protect the caps from moisture and see if this resolves this issue.

The EVM board specifically uses LMK105B7223KV-F. These capacitors need to be 22nF +/- 10%. I recommend using either x5r or x7r ceramic caps.
