DS250DF810: ASIC chip use DS250DF810 retimer connection to SFP+ Module protocol and Insertion loss

Hi, see my inputs below.

• The DS250DF810 can indeed be used for 10G SFP+ optical host interfaces. The specification that applies is SFF-8431 MSA, and the DS250DF810 can meet both host Tx and Rx requirements with margin
• The DS250DF810 high-speed performance meets the electrical requirements set forth by 25G-KR/100G-KR4, including worst case insertion loss and return loss per this IEEE spec.
• The DS250DF810 is advertised per datasheet to be able to compensate for up to 35dB loss at 12.9GHz. However, as the DS250DF810 CTLE is optimized for 25G and not 10G, its overall compensation at 5GHz is less (around ~15-20dB)
• If the application requires a retimer that can fully compensate the total max channel insertion loss per 10G-KR the DS110DF410 may be instead considered
• The DS250DF810 does not support KR link training. Thus, link training should be disabled on the MAC
