The simplest way is to transmit a 20kbps clock signal into TXD while monitoring the LIN and RXD pins on an oscilloscope. This will show that the LIN physical interface is translating the logic signals to the bus and looping back to the RXD pin correctly if the signal on LIN and RXD matches what is being transmitted through TXD, with a slight delay.

There are logic analyzers from companies like Vector that can connect to the LIN bus and RXD pins. They can generate real LIN frames and read back the data to make sure the LIN frame is received correctly.
