    Thanks for reaching out.

    I am assuming that the TVS protection device that you require is for the high speed Rin+/- traces. If this is not the case, please let me know.

    If protection is required on the high speed Rin+/- traces, we recommend that you use an ESD diode instead of a TVS diode. This is because the capacitance of ESD diodes are generally lower than the capacitance of TVS diodes.

    In the case of ESD, the device already provides some internal protections against this. For the ESD specifications of this device, please refer to the screenshot below:

    If additional protection against surge/ESD voltages is required for your application, you can connect an ESD diode between the high speed Rin traces and GND. The recommended location for this component in a design is between the connector and AC coupling capacitors. When selecting an ESD diode for this trace, an important factor to consider is the capacitance. Since the Rin+/- traces carry a high speed signal, the ESD diode must have a very low capacitance.
