We are using tca6424A 24bit gpio expander in our product line.
we need to read the vendor/manufacture id from the device.
Is there any register that we can read to get the vendor/manufacture id.
TCA6424A Data sheet mentions about Input/output port registers, configuration registers and polartiy inversion registers only.
KIndly let us know the register to read to get vendor/manufacture id.
We access the device from linux platform using i2cget/set/ i2ctransfer commands.
