THVD1406: Missing beginning of response if receiver can't enable fast enough?

Can you have a look at the follwoing cusotmer question please?

"we came across the THVD1406 www.ti.com/.../thvd1406.pdf while searching for a RS485 transceiver for our Linux system.
We want to solve the problem that the receiver enable can not be set fast enough by the system and therefore we miss the beginning of the response under certain circumstances.
Can your transceiver ensure this problem doesn't appear at different baud rates or does the auto direction only work at 500 ksps or 12 Mbps (THVD1426)."
