Do we need to set the PFD_SEL_DATA_MUX regardless of whether we have the channels configured as loop back? Same question for DS125DF1610.

Hi,

No, PFD_SEL_DATA_MUX only applies when 0x09[5] is set. This is typically only used if the user wants to bypass CDR or output PRBS data.
