1) While interfacing BQ76952 with BQ76200, what would be the best choice of PACK pin to be used between the two ICs as both the ICs have PACK pins?

2) What is the difference between the PACK pins of both the ICs?

3) If not using the PCHG pin of BQ76200, should it be left floating?

Hello Anurupa,

The BQ76952 has an internal pre-built high side driver. The BQ76200 is not needed.

You can reference to Section 11.4 High-Side NFET Drivers on the datasheet.

Hello Jose,

I need BQ76200 in my design as I need the MCU to decide when to turn off the FETs.

Hello Anurupa,

The BQ76952 High-side driver can also be configured as MCU driven. You can manually send commands from MCU to disable FETs (see below).

More details on how to configure the driver can be found in the Technical Reference Manual (TRM) section 5.2.2 High-Side NFET Drivers

I highly recommend to take advantage of the integrated N-FET driver as this will reduce BOM and cost in your design. The BQ76952 is a very flexible device. It can be fully autonomous, but it can also be host controlled.
