Hi Gareth,

This part uses the same pin out as TI Gen5 DS320PR1601 device. Therefor you can use this part's EVM and etc. Please send me a friend request along with your company email address so we can provide you with access to the DS320PR1601 design files.

DS160PR1601 has too many channels, what the customer needs is PCIe TX 8X, PCIe RX 8, is there any other suitable IC?

Is the DS160PR810 suitable?

You are correct. You can use one DS160PR810 for RX and another DS160PR810 for the TX side.
