Hi Team,
Could you share maximum junction temperature of HD3SS215 with us?
Regards,
Ben

Hello, Ben,
Let me double check on this for you.
However, the recommended operating temperature for this device is 0 to 70 deg C from spec below.
Thanks,
Zach
Hi Zach,
The information you show in datasheet is TA, we need Tj. Did we have Tj information?
Regards,
Ben
Ben,
You are correct. I am double checking on whether we have Tj specification data available.
What is the reason you are trying to calculate Tj? What is the application here?
You can use the calculations here in this app note link to get to a reasonable estimate for Tj depending on what you are trying to do.
Thanks,
Zach
Hi Zach,
It's just part of the qualification process of my customer. What they needed was the specification for Tj but not how to calculate actual Tj. Please let me know if we have such data available.
Thanks!
Roy
Hello,
You can get to Tj by using the Idd and Vdd sped to get your worst case power draw. This is going to be 3.6 V multiplied by 3.2 mA for this MUX. You can then multiply that by Junction-to-ambient thermal resistance to get the ambient to junction difference between TA (provided by datasheet) and Tj.
Thanks,
Zach
