Hi Axel,
So I am going to preface by saying - we only spec max no load current - any additional power usage is determined by loading and data-rate which we don't directly spec. The Receiver is basically just the no load current + logic output currents (which generally are low)
- 32 device (RX)
- 31 device (Driver)
This is going to be the max current consumption - with no load - as Output current is also going to be derived from ICC. For power approximations we also give a CPd value which can be used to approximate power usage with load.
If you are concerned about max dissipated power - you just need to keep the junction < 150C where TJ = TA + R_THETA_JA * P_tot - under most conditions if you follow the ambient temperature guidelines you don't really need to worry about exceeding this value. One thing to note is that R_THETA_JA is apt to change dramatically depending on system implemented so its essentially a baseline to work with but the real effective value.
Best,
Parker Dodson
