AM26LS32A: Please provide accurate information about PDN(EOL).

Part Number: AM26LS32A

I have received information that AM26LS32AID is becoming PDN, and I need to consider alternative parts. Please answer the following questions.

*Is AM26LS32AID really becoming PDN (EOL)?
*Is there a recommended alternative? Please tell me the alternative.
*If you recommend a device from another company, please specify the product name.
*Why is it not NRND on your company’s website at this stage? (I heard that the LAST BUY is June 2024.)

*Is AM26LS32AIDR excluded and will AM26LS32AIDG4 become EOL?

  • Where did you get this information from? TI's PDN document lists the recommended replacement (AM26LS32AIDR) in the second column.

  • Thank you very much for your reply.

I have not been able to obtain the PDN issued by TI.
I received only last-buy information from the distributor.
However, due to the distributor's internal regulations, we were unable to obtain the PDN document issued by TI.
I learned that AM26LS32AIDR is still available from distributors and information from TI_Customer Support.

I wanted to make sure it was confirmed information, so I put it here at the recommendation of customer support.

  • User4401878,

Looks like a EOL change has been issued for the AM26LS32AIDR and last time buy is scheduled for June 2024. This change looks fairly recent, so I am expectant that notifiers on TI.com will appear in the near future.

We don't have NRND label on the device because technically it is still applicable to new designs, although we are discontinuing the device for other reasons.

I believe the AM26LS32AIDR is still available, and from our system, it looks like no EOL order was issued for this device.

    Regards,

    Tyler

  • Thank you very much for your reply.

Speaking specifically about the AM26LS32A, I believe the following part numbers exist in SOIC-16pin:

AM26LS32AID, <<EOL (specified in our equipment)
    AM26LS32AIDE4, <<EOL
    AM26LS32AIDG4, <<EOL
    AM26LS32AIDR <<ACTIVE (not_EOL)

I understand that the AM26LS32AIDR is not subject to the PDN issued this time.

‘In order to continue using it in the future, it is necessary to purchase the AM26LS32AIDR.’
    Is my understanding correct?

  • Hi User4401878,

The following are the TI guidelines for our product life cycles.

You may continue to buy limited quantities of the AM26LS32AID, E4, G4, until the stock runs out. Once the stock is gone for an EOL device, it then most likely transitions to obsolete.

Transitioning to AM26LS32AIDR is a safe bet since no EOL tag is present on this device. You may expect to have longer supplier for this device.

    Regards,

    Tyler

  • Thanks for your reply, Tyler

"At this stage, the AM26LS32AIDR is not subject to EOL."
    I was convinced by saying.

"Because there is no description" in <TI guidelines for our product life cycles.>
I was worried even if I was told that, so I just wanted a commitment including the product name.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.
    thank you very much.
