Apologies for the delay.  Can you share some details about how you are measuring the errors?  Are these observed in both ingress and egress directions?

One parameter to tune is HS_EQPRE.  This should be set to higher values for low loss channels.

Another parameter you can try setting is HS_ENTRACK.  This can improve BER for short, low-loss links.

It is very difficult to fine tune the best equalizer value without seeing the eye diagram,

So Is there any possibility to read the eye diagram/values from phy.

No, unfortunately this PHY does not have eye measurements.  My recommendation would be to use BER testing to determine optimal equalizer values.  You sweep equalizer values and measure BER at each value.  You might find the app note below useful.  It is targeted more at sweeping TX eq rather than RX eq, but the general concept is the same.

Are there any notable layout differences between port A and B in your system?  Do you expect that this could explain the difference in performance, or would you anticipate that the same EQ settings should be suitable for both?
