The TS3USB31 datasheets that the NC pin may be connected to ground or left floated on page 3, but then states that the NC pin should be left floating on page 13.
Could Ti confirm whether NC may be connected to GND?

Hi Brian. What happens if this pin is grounded? In our design, we followed in the instructions in the "Pin functions" table and grounded the N.C pin 7.

Pin 7 can be NC or GND or VCC because it does not have any internal connection.
