TCAN4550: TCAN4550 SDO Unresponsive

Hello. I am trying to interface with the TCAN4500 (mikroe CANfd6 board) via SPI using a st's bluenrgLP board.

I am having trouble though receiving messages on the SDO pin, i don't get any messages from the device on read/write commands.I only get a straight line:

I double checked the connections of the RST, WKP and WKR pins. I should get a response from the chip when I send the first 4 bytes, correct (like indicated on the datasheet page 43).

I tried reading specific registers such as 0x0820 but I dont get any data from the chip.

I appreciate any help!

This is likely a power issue. Are you connecting an external power supply to the BATT + and - pins and if so what voltage are you supplying? The TCAN4550 requires a VSUP voltage between 6V and 24V.

Also, have you placed a jumper on the VIO select header to provide either 3.3V or 5V to the TCAN4550's VIO pin?

Hello. Thank you for the fast response. Powering the VBat to 8V made it respond. Reading the interrupt register device now shows:

I thought it was only needed the 3v3 source!
