Is there any device family from TI that can convert Parallel(DPI) into LVDS 4 Lane?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65LVDS93A-Q1, DS90C189-Q1

Dear TI support team,

I was looking through the catalog of products in the website to try and find a DPI to LVDS converter. So far I haven't been able to find one, hence trying to confirm it on here.

Thank you in advance,

Nuri

  • Nuri,

We have many products in our portfolio which can perform this conversion actually. Can you give more detailed requirements so that I can direct you to the best fit?

    - What PCLK rate do you need?

    - What temp range do you need?

    - Do you need an automotive qualified solution or not?

    - What I/O level do you need? 1.8V or 3.3V?

    Best Regards,

    Casey

  • Hello Casey,

    I appreciate the quick feedback!

    - What PCLK rate do you need? I'm looking for products ranging from 35MP/s to 135MP. It's not a set value yet, hence why I was asking for the family of products for such purpose.

    - What temp range do you need? -40 to 105 preferentially.

    - Do you need an automotive qualified solution or not? Automotive would be preferred.

    - What I/O level do you need? 1.8V or 3.3V? It would be great if I can see options for both levels.

    Thank you for the support,

    Nuri

  • Nuri,

If you can use -40-85C temp range then SN65LVDS93A-Q1 could be a good option too. That one supports all the way to 135MHz PCLK with 4 lane LVDS output. It can support 1.8V or 3.3V I/O. It has automotive qual as well.

Another popular option for you may be DS90C189-Q1. This device can support:

    - Automotive Qual

    - -40-105C temp range

    - 1.8V I/O

I can support either single LVDS 4 lane output, or dual 4 lane output. In single mode it can support PCLK from 25-105MHz. In dual lane it can support 50-185MHz

Most LVDS applications above ~105MHz use dual mode (2x 4 lane).

    Best Regards,

    Casey
