Hi Johnny,
How to set up the LVDS part?
I am not too sure I follow this question. Are you asking which options to select from the provided screenshots of the display itself? Or are you referring to the 947 schematic in general?
Best,
Nikolas
Hi Johnny,
I would recommend aligning with the SoC provider first. TI does not support the monitor, so we are unable to give you recommendations based on the monitor itself.
With regards to the 947 I2C register, are you asking how to configure the relevant device's registers for initialization? If so, I would need more information regarding what you are attempting to accomplish. Are you currently attempting PATGEN or to bring up end-to-end video? Could you please send me a block diagram and what modes you intend for your device to be strapped?
Best,
Nikolas
Hi Nikolas,
Because the client DS90UB928 settings are fixed, I need to adjust the scratchpad and mode selection parameters of our DS90UB947. We don't know how to set the LVDS parameters to make the DS90UB947 match the DS90UB928. Can you help tell us how to set it up?
Please refer the attached file for pdf
Hello Johnny,
The mode selection parameters of the 947 will automatically align with the 928, so it is not required for the user to manually match them between the two devices. With that in mind, please provide me with both the incoming timing (from "LVDS" block) and the timings of the output display. Once I have that information, I can continue to assist you on this matter.
Best,
Nikolas
We tried to use 949 to connect to 928. The screen can be displayed now, but there is a problem with the RGB screen (such as the attachment). Do you need to modify anything? The hardware design is in the previously provided pdf.
Hi Johnny,
When you connected the 947 to the 928, was the screen displayed correctly? Was PATGEN attempted with either the 947->928 or the 949->928 configuration?
Best,
Nikolas
Hi Nikolas,
Give me a few days to try 947 to connect to 928, but the LVDS mode SEL settings and I2C register parameter settings can only use the 947 default values. I will get back to you if there is any situation. Thanks
Best Regards
Johnny
Hi Johnny,
Okay, please let me know once you have any updates regarding the 947 setup.
In the meantime, would you be able to provide me with both the display's datasheet and its timings?
Best,
Nikolas
Johnny,
Due to the US public holiday the team is currently out of office and will resume operations on Tuesday. Thank you for your patience at this time
Best Regards,
Casey
Johnny,
This looks like a MAPSEL issue to me. All you should need to do is to flip the MAPSEL setting on 928 since 949 only has one possible color map setting.
Try setting 928 register 0x49 = 0x40 or 0x60 and you should be able to resolve the color issue with one of those settings
Best Regards,
Casey
