TCA9416: Input state with no power

Hi:)

Just to be sure, when the TCA9416 has no power on VCCA and/or VCCB, is it still possible to have a functioning I2C bus on either side, or will the internal 10K pull-ups try to pull the bus low? I2C bus operates at 3.3V.

    Section 8.3.3 of the datasheet says:

    The resistors have back-biasing protection, so that if a supply is off, the current cannot flow through the resistors back into the supply. If a supply is above VUVLO_RISE, the pull up resistor for its side is enabled.
