LM8333: Outputting a setting information via I2C

Hello, Team,

Customer is currently considering to use LM8333 in one of their R&D project and we have questions.

Can we output setting information of switches via I2C? e.g. Total 6byte information with data 2byte*3 + RAM address 1byte.
Do we have an IC with a bigger number of ports?

Application is a steering switch.

I am a little confused on this request. What is the customer trying to accomplish here?

Only other variant is LM8330 or our more popular key pad scanner TCA8418E, however I believe the number of rows and cols are the same as in the 8330.
