Hi:

I input a 1Gbps signal to the RX0，and on the the CDR page, I select "Standard Mode" and "25Gbps" data rate. The device status is displayed as"Signal Detected", but the CDR lock status is not displayed.

What do I need to do to solve this problem so that I can use "PRBS Gen/Checkr".

I tried to run a 25Gbps PRBS test. On the the CDR page, I select "Standard Mode" and "25Gbps" data rate, then the RX input a subrate of 1Gbps signal, but the CDR lock status is not displayed. And on the "Eye Opening Monitor Page", the plots not be generated. I suspect I misunderstood, Can you tell me the right way so that I can use PRBS Gen/Checker on a 25 Gbps datarate.

Hi Jochen,

1 Gbps is a divide-by-25 sub-rate of 25 Gbps. Typically to use the PRBS generator, we input a sub-rate signal that is divide-by a power of 2. This is to allow the CDR to interpret the input signal as the full rate and obtain lock. For example, I would input a 1.5625 GHz clock signal to use the PRBS generator at 25 Gbps because that is a divide-by-16 sub-rate. Can you try using a 1.5625 GHz signal?
