DS125DF111: TX and RX AC coupling capacitor placement

Hi Expert,

My customer is using our DS125DF111 on small cell application and have AC coupling capacitor placement question.

May I know the AC coupling caps (circled capacitor in below picture) should place close to retimer side instead of host or end point side right?

    Hi Roy,

    Our recommendation is to place AC coupling capacitors close to the retimer on RX traces and close to the connector on TX traces. The reasoning for this is to remove the DC component as close to the end of each trace as possible.
