Hi TI,

We are planning to use ETH PHY DP83867E for our design.

Since we don't have MDIO in our design, we plan to use the USB-2-MDIO software tool provided by TI.

Kindly help us with the queries below,

1. Is writing the configuration file to the DP83867E PHY a one-time process? or do we need to repeat the flashing process every time we reboot the system?

2. Can we use this USB-2-MDIO software tool for PHY from other MFR?

Hi Sandra,

Could you provide a block diagram of your system? The MDIO pins will need to be connected for register access to be possible.

The configuration file will need to be written every time the system boots up. What is MFR?
