Other Parts Discussed in Thread: USB-2-MDIO
Hi,
Via USB-2-MDIO it isn't possible to configure Master and Slave mode. Via strapping, everything works fine.
In the datasheet is written:
Additionally, bit[14] in the MMD1_PMA_CTRL_2 Register (Address 0x1834) controls the 100BASE-T1 Master and 100BASE-T1 Slave configuration. When this bit is set, 100BASE-T1 Master mode is enabled.
And inside the register list this bit is also marked as R/W, but it isn't possible to change the register value. I tried both boot as master and switch to slave and vice versa but the register change only depending on straps not by software changes.
Also, I tried to change the strap and then set reg 0x1F to 0x8000 but nothing changed on 0x1834 only strapping and pressing the reset button works.
To check if I can change any register, I tried to change RMII TX fifo depth by setting 0x11 to 0xB and it works.
Is there some bit to enable changes of Master / Slave or another way to do this?
