TDP1204: Sequence Questions

Part Number: TDP1204

Hi team,

1. Are below situation generating any issues when Windows modern-standby?

VCC33 and VIO are shut down and EN=L

VCC33 and VIO are shut down and EN=H

VCC33 and VIO stays supplied and EN=L

2. Does I2C communication required EN=H? Is it able to I2C communication with the host in EN=L? If need EN=H to I2C communication, how much duration is required to start i2C?

Best regards,

Hayashi

  • VCC33 and VIO are shut down and EN=L No issue

VCC33 and VIO are shut down and EN=H May cause issue

VCC33 and VIO stays supplied and EN=L No Issue

please refer to the following power up timing. The internal POR will not be triggered if VCC is not supplied, so reset will not be toggled when En is toggled. This may cause unforeseen issues. You must follow the proper power up sequence for guaranteed operations.

Regarding the EN = H for I2C, I'm looking into it now, and will get back to you shortly.

  • The EN pin is a reset for the device, so it must be high to start I2C. If EN = Low during any point I2C communication will stop and the device will go into reset mode.
