Programmer says "No attatched TUSB840 device found. This program will now exit."

In Windows device manager the device is enumerated as:

1. Generic SuperSpeed USB Hub (USB\VID_0451&PID_8440\6&339BF536&0&6),

2. Generic USB Hub (USB\VID_0451&PID_8442\MSFT20FD0108610383)

3. USB Input Device (USB\VID_0451&PID_82FF\7&CE74CC7&0&5) attatched to the Generic USB Hub

The driver, which comes with the programmer (TUSB8040.inf) is for a different PID (USB_Install, USB\VID_0451&PID_80FF) which may be a wildcard for all PIDs starting with 80?
