TCAN4550: TCAN4550RGYR

Part Number: TCAN4550

We are currently using TCAN4550RGYR in our i.MX board, running Linux 5.15.52 kernel. We have recently migrated to a real-time kernel, but now we are unable to send or receive CAN data. Does the tcan4x5x driver support Real-Time OS?

  • Hello Akash,

In this forum, the TCAN4550 is supported at a device level for register configuration and hardware related issues in this forum and my expertise is with the TCAN4550 device and not with Linux.  The tcan4x5x driver has been upstreamed into the Linux Kernel and is supported by the Linux community.  I do not know if the driver supports a Real-Time OS, or what modifications need to be made to resolve your current issues.  I would suggest trying to post your question to a Linux support forum.

If you have any questions about the device's register configuration, please let me know.

    Regards,

    Jonathan
