TUSB320LAI: Operation in GPIO mode

Part Number: TUSB320LAI

Hi team,

Can I judge that the Attached State is already fixed when OUT1/2 changes from [H/H] to [H/L] or [L/H] or [L/L]?
What is the time from the internal state change to the output change of OUT1/2?
Also, is it safe to assume that there is no discrepancy in the output timing of OUT1/2?

Sincerely,
Ryu.

  • Hi Ryu,

Can I judge that the Attached State is already fixed when OUT1/2 changes from [H/H] to [H/L] or [L/H] or [L/L]?

Yes, the attached state is already fixed when OUT1 and OUT2 change state. These pins are outputs for to detect the current mode being advertised by the DFP when the 320LAI is configured as a UFP.

What is the time from the internal state change to the output change of OUT1/2?

We estimate the time would be around 50us.

Also, is it safe to assume that there is no discrepancy in the output timing of OUT1/2?

Yes that is a safe assumption to make.

Could you describe what you want to do with the OUT1/2 signals?

    Best,

    Shane

  • Hi Shane,

    Thanks for the reply.
    I have read and understood.
I was planning to check the status by triggering changes in OUT1 and OUT2, so I checked for any timing or deviations.

    Sincerely,
    Ryu.
