SN75LVCP601: about SATA compliance test on SN75LVCP601

HI,Dear all

I use SN75LVCP601 and SSD.

I am trying to test the sata compliance test with a combination of SN75LVCP601 and SSD.
Now, SSD will not go into test mode and therefore cannot be tested for compliance.

But, I remove SN75LVCP601, I can test.

Is SN75LVCP601 not compatible with compliance testing?

Am i correct in saying your SATA disk supports PCIe Gen1 or Gen3? Please note E2E thread below.

Noticed at least two posts on E2E related to this potential issue. Perhaps EQ and DE needs to be fine tuned. Please review these cases and send us scope shot and test setup.

Thank you for your reply.

My SSD support SATA Gen3, sata compliance test is SATA Gen3.
EQ and DE are already tuned.

Now, I can access SSD, read and write.
But not be tested for compliance.

I don't understand why not started Sata compliance test.
Please help me.

HOST<->SSD
SATA compliance is OK.

HOST-Redriver-SSD
It stops and fails when I start the compliance test.

Greetings,

The only knobs or control we have are de-emphasis and equalizer settings. Please start with lowest equalizer settings and then increase as needed. Once you sweep equalizer settings, - if we still have problem, you can start with lowest de-emphasis and then again sweep equalizer settings.

Before we do experiments above, we should find out why test stops or fails. Maybe for some reason signal is not going through.
