PCA9517 - Extra Spike on I2C

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCA9517, OMAP3530, OMAP-L138

Hi,

I am using OMAP3530 where I2C3 is connected to a camera and also to the PCA9517 for level translation from 1.8V to 3.3V. The 3.3V side I2C lines are terminated to test points.

When I am accessing the camera, there is an extra spike on I2C lines with each rising edge as shown in attached pic below

I was wondering what can be the issue here. When I isolated PCA9517 from I2C bus, there were no additional spikes and I thought OMAP is not able to drive this much load (My camera is connected through a cable). But when I again connected PCA9517 and connected an I2C device on 3.3 side, there were no additional spikes.

What can be the reason for these spikes when there is no load on one side of PCA9517? I tried with a different I2C translator and did not see this kind of spikes though rise/fall times became slower compared to PCA9517.
