Hi TI team.
We would like to perform waveform verification in a circuit simulator using the S-parameter of TPD4E02B04-Q1.
(The S-parameter can be obtained from https://www.ti.com/jp/lit/zip/slvmbk1)
1. It appears that the S-parameter of TPD4E02B04-Q1 are based on actual measurement data.
Are the wiring and pads de-embedded?
2. We plan to obtain the S-parameters of the PCB through electromagnetic simulation.
The correspondence between the wiring and the ports is as shown in the diagram.
In this case, we believe the connection between the S-parameters of TPD4E02B04-Q1 and the PCB is as follows:
PCB Port2 -> TPD4E02B04-Q1 Port1
PCB Port3 -> TPD4E02B04-Q1 Port3
PCB Port6 -> TPD4E02B04-Q1 Port2
PCB Port7 -> TPD4E02B04-Q1 Port4
Is this correct?
Regards,
Matsumoto
Hi Matsumoto-san,
I have reached out to our s-parameter team to receive clarification on your first question. You are correct, our s-parameter files are based on measurement data from these devices.
As for your second question, I believe your setup is correct.
I will let you know as soon as I hear back from our s-parameter team!
Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Best Regards,
Josh Prushing
Hi Matsumoto-san,
I just received confirmation that the wiring and PCB traces are de-embedded for our s-parameter measurements!
Please let me know if you have any additional questions!
Best Regards,
Josh Prushing
Thank you for your reply.
Could you please provide more information about PCB trace and pad de-embedding?
I believe it would be one of the four patterns shown in the diagram, but which pattern would it be?
Regards,
Matsumoto
Hi Matsumoto,
I have reached out to our s-parameter team and they said they would get back with me by tomorrow, I will let you know as soon as I hear back from them!
Best Regards,
Josh Prushing
Hi Matsumoto,
Apologies for the delay in response here, but I just received confirmation that our s-parameter de-embedded setup is similar to option D above.
Please let me know if you have any questions!
Best Regards,
Josh Prushing
