TUSB1002A: How to Set CHx_EQ2 and CHx_EQ1in default mode ?

Hi AE,

      The question is as follows:

      1. If uncertain about the EQ Gain, how should I set the CHx_EQ2 and CHx_EQ1 pin levels in this situation?

      2. What are the risks involved ?

    If you're unsure about the EQ gain setting it would be best to estimate the loss in your trace. Usually this would be a combination of the trace length and material you use before/after the 1002A. If you know these parameters, I can help you estimate the loss as well.

    Alternatively, you could try every EQ setting and see which one has the best performance. I recommend trying every two settings first to get an idea of where your ideal gain is, then try a more accurate setting.

    The risk of using the incorrect EQ setting is that the USB signal may not pass through your system. If this happens, you can try other EQ settings until you see a passing signal.
