Hello Team,

Posting on behalf of my customer:

I am searching for additional packaging information for PN: " DS16F95WFQMLV " I can see on the datasheet that it's a Ceramic Flatpack, but in the dimension section, it's states " GLASS " for the body length of the part. I'm working on an internal document for forming/tinning the leads. I need to know whether the glass indicates glass seals for the leads and would require Fine & Gross Leak testing to ensure no cracks in the glass seals.

Above this packaging section for the CFP is a CDIP packaging outline, which also calls out " glass sealant " - so i wasn't entirely sure.

They redirected me to one of the packaging engineers. I've messaged him. I'll let you know what he says.

EDIT: “Glass” is referring to sealing method is glass frit seal. The dimension is referring, edge to edge of the package. The package has undergone Fine and gross leak tests and passed. The lead is SnPb."

Hello Bobby,

If I’m understanding, this component in question has package drawing NAD (unformed/straight leads) and would then require additional Fine and Gross Leak testing to ensure no damage to the glass frit seals from forming and retinning as leads have been altered. Is this correct?
