Hi, Team
We download the following firmware:
DS160PT801.hex
DS160PT801_1x16.hex
DS160PT801_1x16_Alt.hex
DS160PT801_1x16_SRIS.hex
DS160PT801_4x4.hex
DS160PT801_C0.hex
DS160PT801_Compliance.hex
We need to know which one can suit our design.
We use DS160PT801 x1pcs to design PCIe x8 with SlimSAS 8i add-in card to extend PCIe signals.
It uses common clock mode and built-in pin header to setup x8 or x4, x4 width.
We need x8 width or x4, x4 width which can provide Hot plug function.
DS160PT801_X8.hexGreetings,
Hot plug is supported through present signal from the NVMe. Please note DS160PT801 EVM schematic.
You can use DS160PT801_4X4.hex for X4.
Note programming guide for X8 support. Register 0XF2 and 0XF3 specifies configuration settings - for example X8. You can use SigConArchitect GUI to generate X8 EEPROM. and program your EEPROM device.
Regards, Nasser
