DS90UB933-Q1: About the UB933 sequence

Part Number: DS90UB933-Q1

Hi FPD Link Team,

What are the problems and risks if the timing of the 933 chip does not meet the following t1 or t3 specifications?

1. I wonder if we have other ways to restart the UB933 except writing Register 0X27, like pulling down PDB.

2. Can we configure UB933 restart with UB934 IIC and forward , if yes, please tell us how to do it, thanks!

Best Regards,

Jack

  • Hi Jack,

Thank you for your question. The t1, t3, and all other aspects of the power sequence must be followed for proper device functioning. If these timings are not met, the device will not operate properly. The software work around provided in the data sheet is the recommended method to recover the device after the t3 timing is not met, any other methods have not been validated. As stated in the data sheet, the software work around must be done over local I2C and can not be performed remotely by the 934.

    Regards,
    Darrah
