SN75LVPE802: Redriver recommendations for SATA

Hi,

I am designing COM express based solution for industrial application. I am looking for 2channel redriver. I found the part SN75LVPE802RTJR but looking at the interface forum, multiples have suggested to use different part than this. Can i get better recommendations for Gen3 SATA redriver?

Thanks for your recommendations. But may i know what parameter is there which SN75LVPE802RTJR lags and reason for suggestion DS64BR111 in place? Although SN75LVPE802 datasheet specifies The SN75LVPE802 is a versatile dual channel, SATA Express signal conditioner supporting data rates up to 8 Gbps. The device supports SATA Gen 1, 2, and 3 specifications as well as PCIe 1, 2, 3.

DS64BR111 seems to be little costlier in comparision. I have to use 2 redrivers for 2SATA module. In my application, SATA module is going to be plugged in directly in carrier board with trace length of 2-4" without using cable however since COM express recommends to use redriver for Gen3 i want to use correct part.

Hi Narendra,

Recommended BR111 since my other customers have used it for the same application. Please check E2E forum i think other customers have used LVPE802 for the same application as well.
