MAX3232E: MAX3232ECDR Code Format Needed

Part Number: MAX3232E

Hello,

We purchased MAX3232ECDR through a distributor. I am looking for a way to find out the format of the code printed along with the MFG PN on each part? 32A588K and 34C69CK are the two codes that we are trying to decipher. 

Any help on this is appreciated.

    Hi Bruce,

    We generally don't share the formatting of the part markings- but it's basically just a trace code that I can use to trace the part back to a specific lot. 

    I did put both numbers in our system to trace them internally

    32A588K comes back as a legitimate part marking pointing towards the MAX3232ECDR

    The other number, 34C69CK, does not point towards the MAX3232ECDR so I believe that it may be an illegitimate MAX3232ECDR device as the marking doesn't point back in the system.  If this part is causing issues it could be a fake and the next steps/possible outcomes are going to be found here: https://www.ti.com/support-quality/quality-policies-procedures/anti-counterfeit.html 

    With that being said - are you experiencing any issues and if you are could you tell me what device they are coming from and what the issue is?
