DP83TC812EVM-MC: How to give IP address to the DP83TC812EVM-MC

Hello, 

I created local network on my PC(Ubuntu Host) and I tried give IP to DP93TC812 EVM board but I couldn't. I checked with wireshark and terminal(on my Ubuntu PC) but EVM does not take IP from PC. How can I do this?

    Hello Faruk,

    Can you share a block diagram for your current setup with EVM and PC. Our DP83TC812 EVM board doesn't have a processor on board and can't assign an IP address to it however you can assign a PC an ip address then connect it to our EVM's RJ45 port, then connect the EVM's MATEnet port to another computer with an assigned IP address and ping across the EVM board.

    Hello Avtar,

    Thanks for helping. I confusing about this EVM. Normally my development kit(like RPi4) take IP automatically from PC. But now we designed own development kit and it have automotive ethernet socket(And we used DP83TC812R ethernet PHY ). So I can not connect directly PC to own development kit. Therefore I have to use DP83TC812 EVM board between my PC and development kit. 

    My block diagram is;

    I wonder these

    1- If ethernet PHY work on development kit, when connect PC and Development Kit like block diagram, Is it work?

    2- Which mode should I choose for the above connection (master or slave)?

    3- How should I configure for a proper Ethernet connection?
