TCAN3414: TCAN3414 - EMC performance

Part Number: TCAN3414
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCAN3404-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello,

I am thinking of using the (3.3 V) TCAN3414 CAN transceiver for a projct I am working on. The datasheet claims that it provides excellent EMC operation. Is there anything to quantify this? I am wondering how it compares to the automotive qualified (5 V) CAN TRX, like the TCAN1044A, which states that it was tested according to IEC62228-3 and conforms to e.g. SAE J2962-2.

Also I read that TI will release the TCAN3404-Q1 which "meet[s] the strict EMC standard governed by IEC 62228-3". What does this mean? I think IEC 62228-3 just defines the measurement method and does not define emission limits?

Thanks for your support!
