I have a question about DisplayPort. Is there a way to meet the following specifications?
Desired specifications:
I want to split one Displayport port into two screens and display a mirror (duplicate) display.
At this time, I want the OS (CPU) to recognize it as one screen.
There are two methods I'm currently considering.
1. Split with a splitter IC
2. Use two ICs such as a Redriver or Retimer to branch and wire one DP signal to each IC.
Are these possible? Are there any other ways to achieve this?
