Hello,

I'm currently working with the DS90UB913 serializer in a project, and I'm experiencing an issue where the PCLK drops down to 50/25 MHz after a few seconds of operation. Here are the details of my setup and the problem:

Setup:

  • Serializer: DS90UB913Q-Q1
  • Deserializer: DS90UB914Q-Q1
  • Input Signal: parallel 10 bit raw data
  • Configuration: external FSIN , working at a clock of 84 Mhz

Problem Description:

  • Initially, the PCLK operates at the expected frequency.
  • After a few seconds, the PCLK drops to 50/25 MHz without any apparent reason.
  • The issue persists even after resetting the device and reconfiguring the settings.
  • When sensor is flooded with light, the clock returns to 84 MHz, when light turned off drops to 25/50 MHz

What I've Tried:

  • Verified the power supply stability and ensured it is within the specified range.
  • Checked the input signal quality for noise and stability.
  • Ensured the mode select pins are configured correctly.
  • Reviewed the initialization sequence to ensure it matches the recommended procedure.
  • Monitored the temperature to ensure the device is operating within the specified range.
  • Checked for any fault flags or error messages in the status registers.

Additional Information:

  • When working with internally generated Test patterns there sone that stay stable and sone that cause a clock drop.
