Hello TI experts,

In our project we have four cameras connected to the ds90ub962 Deserializer,and we found that some times there are one of camera cannot be locked when initialization,and we dumped the register of the four camera

and the issue camera's id is  camId = 1

and from the log prints

in the reg 0x4E the read value is 0x2,which shows the No NO_FPD3_CLK,

and when I measured the LOCK pin of the unlock camera there is no any lock waves

(LOCK2 failed waves in GPIO5)

and here is for the normal one

but actully when I measured the input of the FPD line,

I found that there are FPD waves,

    Thank you for reaching out. The each of the 962 RX ports will lock onto their respective serializers separately, so it is possible for only one port to lose lock. As you pointed out, the registers and lock gpio signals indicate that the serializer and deserializer do not have lock. The RIN/DOUT pin signals do not indicate lock or data being sent/received properly. The other three ports, even though the lock is high, register 0x4D still shows a change in lock status occurred previously. Can you double check that all you connectors and cables have a solid connection? Can you also share what serializer is being used? You can also verify the other three ports have stable lock by reading the 0x4D register multiple times with a delay in between reads. If lock is stable the lock change status bit should not be set.

    We are using the  DS90UB933-Q1 for the serializer,

    and here are some information We want to share you, every time the unlock camera ID=1,

    and for the other 3 cameras they all works normally every time,

    only the camera 1 will have this issue.

  • Does the camera on RX1 ever have a stable lock? If the system is powered on multiple times is lock ever seen high, for a short or long period of time? If the 933 and camera that is currently on RX1 is moved to one of the other ports, is it able to lock? 

    Can you also read back the 0x4D register on the other three ports multiple times with a brief delay between reads? Even though they have lock it is still possible that lock could be lost intermittently during operation. If you are monitoring the gpio signals, these could also be used to verify that the lock signal never goes low on those ports. This will help confirm if the issue is specific to RX1 only.
