THVD1424: In half-duplex mode, do pins A and B connect to pins Y and Z internally?

Part Number: THVD1424

Tool/software:

If the THVD1424 works in half-duplex mode, are pins Y and A, as well as Z and B, connected together internally? I cannot find any description in the datasheet. The reason I ask this question is that I need to utilize pins A and B as additional contact points. This means that if there are many devices using the THVD1424 in half-duplex mode, pins Y and Z of Device 1 can connect to pins Y and Z of Device 2, and pins A and B of Device 2 can connect to Device 3 to form a daisy-chain topology.

  • Hi Wilson,

Yes, if you set the H/#F pin of the device to a logic high then the A pin will connect to the Y pin and the B pin will connect to the Z pin internally. You could also opt to do this externally if you wanted as well.
