Hi Team,

We are using the TMUXHS4212 on the board we designed, but unfortunately the RSVD pin is open, so the multiplexer function stops when the signal entering the SEL pin is toggled a little over 10 times.

At this point, when the signal entering the SEL pin is further toggled, it appears to start operating normally again. Is it safe to assume that such operation is guaranteed by design?

    Hi Kazuhiko-san,

    The RSVD pin must be pulled up to VCC in order to ensure proper operation. If these pins are left floating or pulled down to GND, we cannot guarantee proper functionality as it is outside of our specs in the datasheet.

    These results that you are seeing is what is typically seen with seeing the RSVD pins open, which is why we recommend pulling these pins up to VCC.
