SN65C3232E: Issue, SN65C3232EPWR

We purchased SN65C3232EPWR 2505+. During aging tests, the motor would intermittently stop and then resume operation, and this phenomenon occurred repeatedly. When we replaced them with the 2145+ we had previously used, the system operated normally. We checked PCN and seems no function change; the datasheet has not been updated and is still the 2021 version. Could you please tell us where the problem lies? And we also question the differences in the marking versions, and we have not found any documentation explaining this.Can you help provide an official explanation? Thank you!

Both die revisions behave the same as long as you use the recommended capacitor values and board layout.

Hi Mike,

Could you send over a schematic? Also can you get scopeshots of the C-, C+, Din, Rout pins of both the old and the new devices?

Does your device go through ICT prior to the aging test?

Hi Mike,

Thanks for this info. It looks like the charge pump isn't operating properly, and my guess would be due to some sort of damage. My guess is this is probably happening during ICT, if you perform it, but I'll wait for confirmation.

Was the newer device always failing the aging test, or was it performing fine for a period of time then failing?
